Hi! I'm Lori, and this is a picture of me a few weeks after my full mastectomy. I had no idea what was around the corner, but I knew I had started the path to treating this thing that had decided to show up without an invite!
A few days later, I learned that I would need everything - Chemo, Radiation and 5-10 years of hormone therapy. I also learned that tracking symptoms, questions, and other random shit, was going to be helpful (and yet feel absolutely impossible).
I have journaled off and on my entire life. This should have been easy. But then I found out that chemo brain is real, that staring at a blank page is freakin' hard, and that I really had no idea what would be helpful information. So, I did my best, which was better than nothing, but not as good as it could have been.
When I was about 6 months outside active treatment, in 2018, I started creating Blink Journals, with the first design getting into people's hands by the end of the year.
It has morphed and changed, and I'm excited to be launching a whole new offering over the next couple months!
In the meantime, I'll be offering some free downloads, sharing tips, and looking to interact with all of you!
Welcome to this club you never asked to join. My hope is that Blink Journals makes it a bit more beautiful and comfortable as you navigate your personal health needs.
"My goal is to provide products that help people feel empowered during treatment."
Founder Blink Journals
Moth’s go through the hard, come out changed, and keep on keeping on! They are beautiful, diverse (over 160K species), can be as small as the head of a pin or as big as a songbird, and they are super cool!
So, the moth became the icon. It represents this club we never wanted to join, but is full of beautiful, diverse, and cool people!
Just look at all of the gorgeous moth’s out there!
We know the power of journaling during treatment, and also know how hard it can be.
We designed our journals to be easy to use, portable, and personal.
Carry in your purse, bag, or coat pocket so you can track and journal anywhere
Clean design that won't broadcast your personal health situation
With our template design, capture important info in less than 5 minutes
The thing about our journals is that we are focused on helping you get important information recorded quickly so you can get on with your day.
No big binders, no papers everywhere, nothing you don't need. Just an easy to use template and dot grid so you can check some boxes, take some notes, and be better prepared for your next appointment.
Then, get on with it!
"Love it! I was encouraged to keep a journal, but during chemo it seemed like so much work. This may have helped me, given a structure."
"I love it. Love the colors, the fonts, and icons. Wish I had something like this when I was doing chemo."
"In such a beautiful and gentle way, it adds some shape and structure to the days that seemed like such a fog when I was living through them."
